1. Acceptance of the Privacy Statement

Welcome to DollarGPS (the “Application”).

The Application is provided by MoneySatNav UK Ltd. (“Company”), a company registered in the UK with company number 13391932.

Please read the Privacy Statement carefully before you start to use the Application. By using the Application or by clicking to accept or agree to the Privacy Statement when this option is made available to you, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by this Privacy Statement. If you do not want to agree to the Privacy Statement or our Terms of Service, you must not access or use the Application.

When we refer to our (“Service(s)”) we mean the Services provided by the Company, or any of its affiliate companies (collectively, “MoneySatNav,” “we,” or “us”), as detailed in our Terms of Service.

At MoneySatNav we believe that everyone has a right to privacy. This Privacy Statement (“Privacy Statement”) explains how MoneySatNav collects, uses, shares, or otherwise processes your personal information for providing our Services to you.

MoneySatNav determines the purposes and means of processing your personal information as described in this Privacy Statement and therefore acts as a ‘data controller’ (or equivalent/similar terms under applicable data privacy laws) of such information.

2. Why and how we acquire your personal information, and how we process it

  1. To provide our Services: We require your information to provide our Services.

    1. Sign-Up Credentials: Email address and PIN code. This is required to verify your identity and protect against fraud and unauthorized activity.

    2. Financial Information: This is critical to provide our Services. All your financial information is centralized under a tab called Forecast Data to which you have ready access. Forecast Data is provided by you which means you have complete control in what you choose to provide us. You provide this data in two ways:

      1. Manual inputs.

      2. Automatic feeds through Plaid where you give consent to access your financial data directly from your financial institutions. You control the financial institutions and the products you wish to connect. Once you connect them via Plaid, we continue to receive the requisite information for the connected products until you decide to disconnect them.

    3. Date of Birth and Planned Retirement Date: These are used to calculate contributions to your connected retirement plan (if applicable) and to project your post-retirement income.

    4. Details regarding your accounts with our collaborative financial institutions: This is used solely to confirm your eligibility for the discounted subscription plan, as detailed in our Terms of Service.

  2. To improve our Services and User Experience: We automatically collect data related to how you interact with our app. Usage information acquired across all users is analyzed to enhance our Services and the User Experience.

    1. Login information

    6. Approximate location data (derived from your IP address)

    7. Operating system and device type

  3. To comply with Legal and Regulatory obligations: We may ask for your consent to use your personal information to comply with any legal or regulatory requirements.

We do not sell your personal information. However, we may be required to share your data:

At MoneySatNav, we believe that you have choices about information that pertains to you. We provide all customers with options to manage the privacy of their personal information as follows:

You have the right to request that we delete your personal information in which case we will erase your personally identifiable information and anonymize any remaining information and data. Even if you submit a deletion request, we may be required to maintain your personal information for as long as necessary to:

  1. comply with our legal or regulatory compliance needs (e.g., maintaining records of transactions you have made with us);

  2. to exercise, establish or defend legal claims; and/or

  3. to protect against fraudulent or abusive activity on our Services.

This means we may keep different information for different periods.

There may be occasions where we are unable to fully delete, anonymize, or de-identify your personal information due to technical or other operational reasons. Where this is the case, we will take reasonable measures to securely isolate your personal information from any further processing until such time as we are able to delete, anonymize, or de-identify it.

Your personal information shall be processed and stored in the United States.

We use reasonable physical, technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information. However, despite these controls, we cannot completely ensure or warrant the security of your personal information.

From time to time, we may change or update our Privacy Statement. We reserve the right to make changes or updates at any time. If we make material changes to the way we process your personal information, we will notify you by posting a notice in the Application; by sending you a notification; or by other means consistent with applicable law.

You can see when this Privacy Statement was last updated by checking the “last modified” date at the top of this Privacy Statement. Please review this Privacy Statement periodically to stay informed about how MoneySatNav protects your privacy.

9. Children

Our services are not intended for or directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we may have information from a child, please contact us by emailing DollarGPS.Support@bmo.com.

10. State-specific-terms

California Residents

This section applies only to California residents. It describes how we collect, use, and share Personal Information of California residents in our capacity as a “business” under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and your rights with respect to that Personal Information. For purposes of this section, the term “Personal Information” has the meaning given in the CCPA but does not include information exempted from the scope of the CCPA. Please note that we may claim legal exemptions for certain types of personal information and certain MoneySatNav companies from all or certain parts of the CCPA.

California Personal Information Disclosure. If you are a California resident, we collect, use, and disclose the categories of personal information described in the “Why and how we acquire your personal information, and how we process it ” section above, for the purposes and with the types of recipients also described there. This includes information collected during the 12 months preceding the effective date of this Privacy Statement. Some information you choose to provide in free‑form fields (for example, when you contact us or complete open text boxes) may contain additional categories of personal information beyond those examples.

Your California privacy rights. As a California resident, you have the rights listed below. However, these rights are not absolute, and in certain cases we may decline your request as permitted by law.
